so if i were to try out ios 10 beta, i couldnt use any of messages new features since none of my friends is going to use ios 10

Why would anyone want to use those tacky "features"? The only good one seems to be the invisible ink for "those" photos.

Really? So you can't send iMessages to anyone using a lower firmware?

I hope this isn't true. This could cause a ton of outrage.

I think it should just go into a compatible mode if someone hasn't updated.

They meant it doesn't send the new messages types, i.e. Stickers and drawings nor does it send the larger emoji

Normal messaging works fine

Doesn't seem like that's what the thread is about, nor that there's any actual "answer" to something purely subjective and different for different people.
