So heres the low down on the dual G5 with 9800 pro processor. Some times it is insanly fast.. And others it stalls and apps unexpetly quit. The G5 is good but its still just a computer..

My thoery is that jaguar wasnt meant for 64 bit proccesing. I got panther for 20 bucks with my G5 serial #. Special deal for G5 users? hmmm does this mean my thoery is correct?

The G5 needs a 64-bit OS. Panther is still a 32-bit OS. Maybe with 10.4 they'll go fully 64-bit, but there'll still be a lot of users with older macs around by then. Panther is just faster overall, and those apps that crash are mostly that apps fault and not the OS.
