Other Will there be models of the next iPhone that have a SIM card slot AND 5G mmWave?

The current iPhone models sold everywhere but the United States that have a SIM card slot do not have 5G mmWave. The only models to have 5G mmWave are the US SIM-less versions. The United States is not the only country to have 5G mmWave. These systems also exist in Australia, Croatia, Japan, Malaysia, Peru, Singapore, South Africa, the Republic of China "Taiwan," and Uruguay. Right now, not even iPhone customers in those countries can use 5G mmWave, so is there any sign of any country getting a version that has both a SIM card slot AND 5G mmWave? Also, have any of you with a US iPhone from back when they did have SIM card slots been able to use the 5G mmWave systems in any of these countries using a plan from that country?

It’s unlikely because the fundamentals of mmWave haven’t changed. You basically need line of sight for the technology to work. The U.S. adopted it due to political reasons and since 2021 has shifted focus to mid-band deployments. Carriers in SK, Japan, and Europe haven’t deployed mmWave in any serious manner. Carriers that deploy have done it largely to promote fixed wireless access services.

In Japan, NTT docomo, au and SoftBank all have 5G 28GHz as part of their networks. Also, SK is Slovakia, which does not have this system. The only country in Europe that has this system is Croatia, with Hrvatski Telekom having 5G 26GHz as part of its network.

mmWave is such a small part of non-U.S. country networks, it's irrelevant. As I mentioned before, mmWave hasn't changed in terms of physics. It doesn't make sense for real world deployments except as a backup to spread network load, indoor areas, and for rural Internet access.
