When you take photos it saves them to the phone as JPEG images, but I'd like to possibly see Apple introduce alternative file types within future OS such as PNG/RAW uncompressed state etc.
I don't mind JPEG but I've always wondered how much the image quality could improve if the photos could be saved without compression, especially as we're seeing larger image resolutions and higher resolution camera's within the iPhone etc. I've got a decent amount of storage on the phone and opening this up could improve iOS devices as an all round photography device.
