This is more like booting Windows bare-metal vs. booting Windows in a VM.
Both options don´t have any relation to emulation.
I know I’m showing off my ignorance, but I thought a VM was emulation, or something like a software program that provides a means of communication, a bunch of converted calls that the Mac can send for Windows to understand. The end result was that you’d not get the same performance as with Bootcamp.
