wmp links link to common address?

everytime there is a link in a webpage that calls to open a media file in the wmp program (outside of safari), a new blank window pops up with the address 'file:///private/var/tmp/folders.501/TemporaryItems/AOLTemp.html' and then WMP opens w/ the file.

sorry if i didn't make it clear enough, but i know someone has seen this URL now or later

This happens to me for some WMP files too. I assume it something to do with the way that the player works...

it's lame because i can't save any of the media files on these pages.
