Just got my iMac G4 20" w/ superdrive delivered. It cost me only $1399 at the Apple Store. Only thing wrong with it was monitor panel was slanted about 2 degrees to the right. Quick jerk to the left and its as good as new.
FRIGGIN' SWEET!!!

That is crazy. I almost want to snatch one of those! reallY! that computer will go down as one of the best designed computers (aesthetically) ever.

Yeah, I dont' think I will ever get rid of mine...I love the flexibility of my 17" (screen that is) :D

It will be great when the kids are bigger and they need to easily adjust the screen for their height, etc.

Mine was a refurb too and about the same price 12 months ago. (1ghz 17")

i agree...about apple refurbs being awesome. i'm waiting for my dual 2.0 g5 that should arrive today...$1999! and a better graphics card than the present 2.0

as for the 20" imac g4...they had boxes of 'em waiting to sell at the sacramento apple store...i think a brand new 20" was $1399...pretty darn good deal, methinks.

Wow, that's such a great deal that I may have to think about putting off my PowerBook for a few more months because of it.
Decisions decisions.

I sometimes worry about refurbs, but since Apple backs it up with the same 1 year warranty, I guess my worries are unfounded.

Good luck with it. :)

Another thing to consider...

I bought a bottom-of-the-line PB 15/1.33 combo refurb in July for $1849.

I actually RECEIVED a PB 15/1.33/SuperDrive/1.5 GB ram/backlit/5400 HD.

Listed as a bottom-of-the-barrel model on the box. Ain't it grand?

It happens.
