I'm trying to login to me WP dashboard and I get a message saying wordpress is already installed and is asking to clear old databases. How do I clear old databases?
The worpress link brings me to wordpress.org
the login in brings me to a page saying Safari can't connect to the server.

I am using MAMP.

You're trying to login to wordpress or you're trying to install wordpress? You should only get that if you're trying to run the install script where the database referenced in wp-config.php already exist.

My goal is to login to WP but in trying that I may have reinstalled it. I'm very new to this.

Essentially I was following a youtube course and took a break for a few days and now can't get back to where I left off.

So, when you click on the "Log In" link on that error page you screenshotted, it still gives you that same error?

When I click on Login I get Safari cannot connect to the server. Here are a few other screenshots with the URL I am using.

Why are you trying to login (wp-login.php) over 8888? It looks like your webserver is running on standard port 80.
