I say blah! People should all just move to Jabber and they won't have to worry about central control and access control because there really isn't any.

And how do you plan to convince everyone to change to Jabber?

I'd love to use iChat instead of MSN Messenger for my instant messaging, but it's a bit of a problem when none of your friends use iChat!
