The only refurbished phone I would ever consider purchasing is an official Apple refurb as they replace the shell ensuring the phone is practically new.

As has been noted, the iPhone you posted is not new.

For comparison, Apple charges $569 for a certified refurbished 256GB 12 mini with new outer shell, new battery and 1 year (same as new) warranty. However, none are currently available in the refurb store.

No, for the same price, you should be able to get a used 13 mini 256gb. I got my used 13 mini 512 for $660

My wife's 13 Mini 128 GB was $599.00 unlocked brand new from Apple then as a veteran I ordered it direct from Apple's veteran website and got an additional 10% off.
