MP 6,1 Would studio display work with trash can Mac Pro?

I know there are adapters to convert USB-C to Dual-Displayport but does this work the other way around? I have not found anything in this regard.

It won't work using one of these adapters because they're not bidirectional.

We were talking about 5K (Dual-Displayport). Or at least that was what I wanted to know specifically.
MP6,1 can only handle 5K via two of its Displayport 1.2 connections.
That‘s where it gets complicated when wanting to drive a USB-C 5K@60 screen.
And driving the Studio Display at 4K, a non-native resolution, is just a waste.
