It’s impossible to know, we can only look at past devices. The iPad Air 1 got 5 major versions. The iPad Air 2 got 7. The 1st-gen iPad Pros will probably get 7, too. It is likely that it will get at least 7, so through iPadOS 19, which would be through 2026. After that, we don’t know. I’d say that as Apple’s support longevity is increasing, one more year is highly likely, but this is all conjecture. The A12 got many features, so I’d honestly call it more likely than not. Then again, you must always consider whether you actually want to update at all…
