Hey all,
Thought this would be more appropriate in the collectors section bet feel free to move it to the market place. I am look for older macs like these- http://everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_performa/stats/mac_performa_250.html - either that one or one with the same form factor. Must be color and WORKING. I have a few things to trade aswell. Hope I can find this computer. All I want it for is oregon trail, gizmos and gatches and I will atempt some 3D animation on it.

BTW: I am also looking to buy and ADB mouse and keyboard and HD for my PM 7500.

The performa 550 is a desktop all in one. Larger than a se but smaller than a 5260 or G3 all in one. BTW if you can find a 5260 they are generally cheap and even tho the low end mac people [http://lowendmac.com/profiles.htm]call em a road apple they are better IMHO than any performa that I know of.. Now that I think of it I know where there are some performa 575's for almost free.... will check on em in a day or so... MV

If you are looking for a Macintosh Color Classic and Color Classic II and just those, it is quite hard to find those, they are begining to be a bit rare (and somewhat expensive  ) But I'd say a 580-5500 would suit you great, I have literally hundreds of those so if you are interested in any A.I.O. Macs please PM me.

why don't you just run the programs through an emulator such as basilisk ii? doesn't classic mode also support old mac software? or do you just want to have the hardware?

I just thought it would be cool to have the the exact same or similair looking computer I used in elementary school in the early-mid 90s. . .Nostalgic(is that even a word) purposes.

I have a Color Classic, it's at my sister's house. It hasn't been turned on in years, I'd have to see if it's in good working order. I might see her tonight, so I'll check it out...

More Color Classic Pictures...

A few more... Tetris, Finder windows, ClarisWorks...

The machine has an 80MB hard drive, 4MB of RAM. Everything else is factory. There are 2 ADB ports for keyboard/mouse, Printer ( I have two Color StyleWriters that I think still work), Modem (also have at least one working 56K modem for it), SCSI, headphone, built-in microphone, Kensington security lock, keyboard & mouse.

I'll have to look around to see if I have the original System 7 disks for it, but I think I know where they are.

PM me if you're interested in the machine.
