Im experience an ever so slight jerk when opening / closing apps. Almost 60fps, but not quite. Anyone else experiencing this? I’ve had this happen on new phones on iOS .0 releases, so I’m not worried it will persist in future updates.

Set up the phone as new. Plenty of time to be indexed.

same how is this phone faster
Hardware and software work in conjunction for UI. Benchmarks don’t really mean anything for phone navigation, Apple needs to be optimize.

I’m sure the Max will still encode a video faster than previous iPhones that are handling iOS 12 more smoothly.

Hey, I’ve just started this thread about screen flicker, does your issue sound like mine?

From what you wrote about your phone earlier, sounds like you need a replacement. I haven’t experienced any delay in app operations, or any other problems.
I didn’t write anything about my phone earlier.

The animation slowdown is slight enough where a lot of people won’t notice it. It also comes and goes. It’s not a big deal, but it’s not as snappy as my X was on iOS 11. For a .0 release it’s very good. I remember the nightmare of getting an iPhone 6 on launch and how many bugs it had, the Max is doing pretty good overall.

I have this exact same problem, and it’s eating me alive. You’re sure it’s software?

The Max has gotten a bit more smooth over the last day or so. Still an excellent .0 release. Battery is at 50% and it’s 9:00pm here with pretty heavy usage, no mid day charging. Very impressed.
