What is the difference between the G4 (620-2189) and the G5 (620-3084) IDE drive trays, please? Will a G4 tray work just as well in a G5?

Thanx!!

They are not the same. The G4's and Xraid drive sleds are for ATA drives while the G5 and Intel sleds are for SATA drives. The hot-swap plugs on the back of the sleds are slightly different. So one style won't actually plug into the other style Xserve.

sorry if I hijack the thread. Can you buy these 620-2189 sleds (for ATA drives) separately or do you have to buy it with apple drive in them? Where can you buy these?
thanks in advance, loi
