I have an Xserve G5 hooked up to an apple raid array. Recently one of the lights on one of the drives has turned yellow. What exactly does that mean?

It means there is a problem with the drive in that slot, and you should either replace the drive or remove and reinsert the carrier.

Use your Xserve admin utility software for more info.

I would also run RAID admin on the thing as it gives you useful diagnostic information as well as log messages that can be useful in determining the issue.
