Hmm he must've been cured from the addiciton cause to get rid of a collection like that would be really hard. Maybe he hit some financial trouble.

I see several systems missing :D

-Sega CDX
-Sega Nomad
-Neo Geo
-Neo Geo CD
-Neo Geo CDZ
-PC-FX
-MSX
-TurboDuo (still IMO the neatest looking console ever)

Nice collection though.
Can't imagine the shipping hassle on that, not only how many boxes it will take, but the total amount of weight and cost. Yeesh...

A few things: not only is all that equipment going to cost an arm and a leg to ship, the person is in Fairbanks, Alaska! That means even more $$$.

Speaking of Alaska, it seems like the guy has some time on his hands.

Finally, it sold, and the person is a first time buyer?!? Dropping $18,000 for your first eBay purchase? I wonder if that's going to go through. Much like Bo Duke's (ahem, I mean John Schneider's) unsuccessful attempts to sell the General Lee.

As cool as that whole collection would be I wonder how fun 90% of games really would be to play.
