I migrated data from a user account on one Mac to a user account on another Mac using Migration Assistant. The former account has parental controls on it, but not the latter. I verified that the latter does not have parental controls on it by going into the Parental Controls settings.

Despite this, the new Mac said I was running out of time. I told the Mac to extend the time. Hopefully, Parental Controls will realize that there is no time limit on the account.

I talked to a lady at Apple's technical support earlier today. Here are the directions she gave me. WARNING: Make sure you have backed up all of your important files. You'll see why.

1) Shut down the computer.
2) Press and hold the Option key.
3) While still holding the Option key, turn on the Mac.
4) Let go of the Option key when you see your main partition and your recovery partition. The main partition's name is "Macintosh HD" and the recovery partition's name starts with "Recovery."
5) Double click on your recovery partition.
6) Select "Disk Utility" in the dialog box that follows.
7) Select the main partition in the left hand side of the dialog box.
8) Click "Erase..." in the bottom right corner of the screen.
9) Confirm that you want to erase the entire disk.
10) When Disk Utility is done erasing the disk, exit the program.
11) Select "Reinstall OS X"
12) Follow all the steps to reinstall Mac OS X. Depending on the speed of the Internet connection, the whole installation may take one hour and twenty minutes to complete.
If you have a Time Machine backup:
13) If your computer restarts, shut it down again.
14) Before it boots up, press and hold the Option key.
15) Keep holding it until you see the same screen you saw in step 4.
16) Repeat step 5.
17) Select "Restore from Time Machine backup."
18) Follow the on-screen instructions.

UPDATE: It appears that that method should be used as a last resort. There is another way to fix the problem. Unfortunately, I do not know what that way is. The Time Capsule specialist, whose name is Joey, was unable to tell me that way because the communication line between us was no longer open. Next thing I knew, I heard a busy signal.

If you are experiencing a similar problem and you have free technical support from Apple, or you have a ticket you can use, contact technical support.

If any of you have a better solution, please post it here.

Does anyone know the solution to this other than erasing my hard drive?
I've had a similar issue to this with my computer for over a year, just transferred over to a new laptop thinking it would fix it but it hasn't.
Basically, I have no parental controls and have never had them on, this is my personal laptop. But my computer signs me out at 8pm every night because it says my computer time for the day is out.
