The only thing I don't like about iOS 10 is the removal of slide to unlock but I bet I'll get used to it. Love the new widgets, raise to wake and the new VoIP sdk for developers.

Top:
  • Raise to wake iPhone
  • Copy/paste between iPhone and Mac
  • More use of 3D Touch (kinda felt limited in iOS 9)
  • Spotlight everywhere (lock/home screen, notification center)
  • Widgets everywhere (lock/home screen, notification center)

Flop:
  • New unlocking method (adds a little more 'complexity')

There's more features I like, but those are definitely not in my top list. Other than the new unlocking method there's nothing I don't see as a flop. :p

I am hyped about the ability to use two tabs side by side in Safari split screen with my iPad.

But still only for Safari. We still have to open up Apple Pages and Microsoft Word to get two documents open in Split View and work in both. Let's hope they add other apps too.

I think it will be a highlight of iOS 11. They just introduced tabs for all apps in macOS Sierra and I have a feeling they will transfer that same experience to iOS soon...

I sure hope that they release it sooner then later. Also the app picker for Slide Over/Split View needs a makeover to e.g. search apps and/or select/deselect the apps you don't want to see in the app picker.

your list matches fairly closely to mine. I don't mind the slide to unlock thing, I have a 6s though but sometimes I have to wonder why I need to click the home button to get it to recognize my finger print. I mean I already lifted to view and then when I touch the sensor I need to actually click it. In the scheme of things though I suppose it makes sense so that you can view your notifications without accidentally, out of habit, unlocking screen with the super fast recognition.

EDIT (wanted to contribute to the list)

Pros
-Mail view is awesome after I figured out how to show in date order, most recent first
-widgets are awesome but some just don't work yet, even the apple native ones (expected)

Cons
-some of the gimmicky additions to messages. Don't get me wrong I like a lot of them but drawing for instance, if you take to long to draw a picture (like switching colors) it can send the message before you are done drawing what you wanted to send causing it to break into two messages (i.e. drawing a smiley face and changing colors the eyes sent before I could finish the mouth). I have a feeling this will be fixed or I am just "doing it wrong". Already sent feedback on this one.

Top:
Expanded 3D Touch
New unlock process (I hated it at first, but now after a few days I actually like it much better.)
New Widgets

Cons:
New notifications (I know, Beta 1) but they are not smooth at all. I am sure this will be fixed.
Keyboard not having a swipe function. Really apple?
New music app (I'm sure I'll get used to it, I'm a big Apple Music user).

This is clearly the most stable Beta 1 I have ever used in the past few years. Occasional freeze ups, and a couple of random reboots...but overall very good. 6S Plus

I don't have the beta yet, but from what I've seen online, here's my list:

Top:
  • Photos improvements
  • Spotlight access from anywhere
  • Easier Camera access on Lockscreen
  • Individual Read Receipts
Flop:
  • Messages bloat
  • YUUUUUGE fonts
  • Wasted space (Control Center, Notification Center, Music)
  • Ugly Music player on Lockscreen
  • Pagination of Control Center
  • Removal of Slide to Unlock
That said, I'm still excited to use the public beta when made available.
