It seems that YouTube has discontinued app updates for iOS 9. Every time I open the YouTube app on my iPad 2 it tells me in a pop up “update available - you are using an old version of YouTube. Please update to get important bug fixes and improvements. It typically takes less than 1 minute”. But when I press “Update” it takes me to the App Store where there is no update to be installed. I also saw someone on Twitter say they are unable to download the YouTube app at all on an iPad 2 running iOS 9. I guess this pretty much means the end of Youtube supporting iOS 9 and A5 devices. I’m surprised they did it this long honestly.

Yeah YouTube discontinued updates for iOS 9. Every device I have is on iOS 9 so I can't update YouTube anymore.
Not too troublesome for me as I don't generally update apps unless they force me or they bring something to the table.
