Hi,

I really like the Belkin AirTag keychain. It's simple and no nonsense but why the holes on each side? The AirTags are just going to get scratched to death with the holes in all the cases and attachment accessories.

Anyone know of a simple keychain similar to this: https://www.belkin.com/uk/p/p-f8w973/. but that have no holes (or at least some sort of cover over them)?

Lots on eBay already. They have a hole on just the one side

I think the hole is mandatory for receiving an official apple accessory license, as covering the airtag completely might have a negative effect on it’s operation.

Covering the entire tag muffles the speaker, making one of it's key features way less useful. I doubt we'll see many Apple-approved accessories that cover the whole thing on both sides. I suppose it's possible (I believe the stick-on ones they showed in the keynote cover everything?) but can't imagine it's ideal.

This. The white plastic actually acts as the speaker, so anything that stops it from vibrating would kill the sound. Also, if someone else finds your item you want it to be obvious that there's an AirTag there. Otherwise how will they know to tap it to their phone to get your contact info?
