I have experience with their TVs. Own two. Nice specs low prices, the usual bait.

Found numerous issues that needed firmware fixes. No way of reaching the ones responsible. Tried through both EU and US branch. Get the impression they just receive stuff from China to sell here and don't talk much. Either things got fixed or they didn't.

In that sense they felt like a budget-brand for those who can tinker and find workarounds.

Given that, my phone is a very important piece of equipment that I need working a 100% of the time. I wouldn't trust TCL that far.
