Any way to Search YouTube on Apple TV using iPhone or Mac Keyboard instead of Siri?

I tmight be my set up but, when I tap on search in the YouTube app on Apple TV, I don''t get the keyboard pop-up option on my phone or Mac, which would make searching a lot easier than using the Apple TV remote. Am I missing something obvious? I would like to without using Siri.

No issues here, automatically pops up when I open search.
Have you tried using the Apple TV remote in control centre as it automatically pops up via that too.
Failing that, manually select the keyboard

Oddly, the Reote app on the phone didn't connect with the Apple T Vntil just now (after numerous tries yesterday and this morning) The Apple Watch Ultra 2 connected right away but, didn't show the keyboard when I invoked the search option. Very strange behavior. Thanks for the reply.
