Hi guys, hoping someone can help.
I have my iPhone 12 set for trade in with Apple - it’s never been out of a case, but it seems being in the case has actually done some minor damage to the back glass.
The screen is intact as has always had a screen protector on from day one - but does anyone have experience of their trade in, and if they will reject my phone for being scratched or something?
Attached a few photos - the sides have some light wear aswell but I would think this would be expected with a trade in.
Bit annoyed at my Mous case to be honest, 55 quid for the phone to end up with these marks…(have to upload one at a time)

Anyone have any advice on what to expect?
Thanks

They expect a little wear and tear. All they're interested in is if it isn't cracked front/rear and if the hardware is ok on the inside of phone including no 3rd party parts.. Your phone should trade in no issues especially if you're doing it in store.. If you choose to send it in, nothing is guaranteed and it's possible they may try to lower the trade in for whatever they deem as "damage"

I've traded in multiple phones through the mail with Apple. There is always minor wear and tear when you take your iPhone out of that case it's been in for a few years - absent any real crack in the glass, I wouldn't worry about it. Your pictures look like normal wear and tear to me. As prior poster noted, do it in store if you want maximum peace of mind. If you do it through the mail, in addition to the pictures you have taken, I always taken one after I have reset it, turned on and with the IMEI number showing (you can get that without going through the activation prompts on the phone after you reset it). Never had a problem with Apple, but I did have a problem with a 3rd party trade in where they mixed up my phone with someone else, but I didn't have any proof, and so just had to accept it.

Thanks both. Appreciate it.
I think my concern is more from apples lax wording - it literally says this:

It’s like - nothing there implies that normal wear and tear is acceptable.
Looked after my phone and it’s got some minor marks from being in a case - the screen itself will be pristine once I remove the protector.

Probably just overthinking it - so easy to do!

Thanks guys!
