In iOS9, in the Messages app when i send msgs some are coloured with a green color, others are colored with a blue and i have no clue what is the difference between those two colors, what do they stand for?

iMessage are always free. Used when you message another Apple device.
SMS will use up some of your text allowance from your carrier (most these days are unlimited so no biggie).
Occasional when texting an Apple device it will switch to SMS, not sure why.

So, if there is no internet connection but there is a phone coverage, there is no "blue" msgs but only "green" ones... is that correct?
