I am now in beta 2. I have tried 3 times in auto update. Every time after some times of reboot, the macOS is still beta 2. Then I downloaded the full installer of beta 3 and installed it. After all reboots, the system was still beta 2. So I have no idea what else I could do.

My Mac is an M1 Mac mini. I installed macOS 14 beta to my external SSD over a USB-A hub. Everything was fine from beta to beta 2. Maybe I should just wait until beta 4 released?

It turned out that I was still using usb-c to my external SSD. I thought I was using usb-A, I wasn't. The usb-A connector was linked on the hub, but there was nothing at the end side.

> Although external SSD can be read and write with both usb-c and usb-a, but as there was an issue with macOS, if you use usb-c, you can't boot from the external disk.
