Just installed the beta on my iPhone 5s.
Interestingly enough, the pressing and holding on the icons in the control center brings up the detailed view for that item. Almost like 3D touch...

Does it work with app icons as well? Probably not because in that case it needs to differentiate between toggle mode and an actual 3D touch.

Instagram has the hold-to-preview option as well for devices without 3D Touch btw.

they seemed to have added the hold function to many places, e. g. you used to have to swipe on a notification on the lockscreen, now you have to hold onto it instead.

I can't quick reply from the lockscreen this way.

No, when I press or hold on the notification the lock at the top of the screen just shakes. I don't have 3D Touch but it worked with a swipe on iOS 10.
