Spotted CoreNFC as one of the new APIs for iOS11:

It seems that we finally get access to the NFC-reader on compatible devices directly.

Anyone insights or details on that, as this would be really great news?

Hmm just iPhone 7 and 7+.
And only NFC ndef what ever those are.
Would be nice.
But if it's read only and not communicate you can't open doors etc.
