DIfficulties instaling the Office 365

I need your help
I tried to install Office 365 in my Macbook 2013 and it did not work

I have a previous version Microsoft office 2008, and I can not
uninstall because is an old version
Can I just del the old version and install the new one, or there is a better option?

How does office 365 not work?

Also this is the iOS area so that might be why there’s not been many replies!
