My TIMES App doesnt work on iOS 17 so trying to go back to 16 but on both my M1 MacBook and my classic mP I get this error when I try to plug my Air into my Mac to force restore mode and then obviously it doesnt appear in iTunes or Finder

"Cant install the software because it is not currently available from the software centre"

after I try and install the software update to connect to my Air which iTunes suggests....

Which is odd as it HAS downloaded it....

Plus I cant seem to get my Air into recovery mode with the vol up, down and hold power button either....Is that because of iOS 17 ?

Any thoughts ?

Beta is not for the weak of heart. A few random thoughts though:
  • What version of macOS are on the Macs? Update if necessary.
  • Try creating a new Admin user?
  • Recovery mode won’t be stopped by beta. It can be tricky & require multiple tries.
  • Apple Store if necessary.
