Green bubble group messages "outgoing"

I upgraded to an iPhone 12 last week. I also started using messages in the cloud. I have noticed that on my green bubble group messages, instead of saying for example "6 people", it says "outgoing" up top. It switches back and forth between the 2. I have never seen this before? Any ideas?

Mine just did this so I deleted the group and now it's not there anymore.

Did this ever get fixed? I just upgraded my ipad and am having this issue on my ipad.

It was fixed last year after an update, I forget which one.

It’s strange, I’ve never had this specific issue before and never on my iPad
