The highly anticipated sixth installment in Rockstar Games’ popular Grand Theft Auto series of video games will be ported to the future M5 iPad Pro, due out by the end of 2025, according to unproven MacRumors forum analyst Crow_Servo.

No strong rumors have indicated what new features and attributes the M5 iPad Pro will bring to market, but amateur analyst Crow_Servo believes it is theoretically possible that the CPU will still have 4 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores, like the 1TB and 2TB M4 iPad Pro (releasing on May 15th). Where it is said to differ is with the GPU part of the chip. As opposed to the 10 core GPU found on the M4 iPad Pro, the upcoming M5 will have 12 cores.

Furthermore, the iPad Pro lineup will include 16GB RAM across the board. The thermals will also improve even more than Apple has advertised about the M4 iPad Pro models. For these rumored reasons, Apple executives have been in talks with Rockstar to accelerate the port of Grand Theft Auto VI to the Mac and also to the iPad Pro. Apple hopes to reveal this big news at the announcement event they will hold ahead of the M5 iPad Pro launch, which is tentatively expected in the second half of 2025. The game will only be compatible with M5-powered Macs and iPads, however.

Due to Crow_Servo’s unproven track record, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. In the meantime, stay tuned for more stories about the M4 iPad Pro and M2 iPad Air, due out May 15.
