Hi everyone 👋
Back in the day, I somehow made Finder calculate size everywhere for my convenience, and I still love it in everyday use.
The problem is, I also have an old external 2TB NTFS-formatted (R/W via Mounty) hard drive, and each time I connect it to my Mac, Finder keeps recalculating the size of each folder in it, which not only takes a lot of time to complete but also slows it down. And I can't seem to find that article I read to reverse it, too.
mdutil says indexing and searching are disabled, but mds still work with drive in the background (sudo lsof <path_to_drive>).
macOS Monterey 12.6 on MBP 2015.
upd: nvm, suddenly remembered about "calculate all sizes" in view options 🙈
