iPad iPad Air vs Pro Speakers

I noticed in the announcement for the iPad Air it now has landscape stereo speakers with Spatial Audio. Do you think the gap in speaker quality between the Air and Pro has closed? Or will the Pros speakers still be way superior?

The main edge of the Pro is quad speakers

With speakers just on one side, the experience can’t be anywhere near as good as the Pros, period

That’s still 2 speakers, not 4

The landscape orientation is certainly a good change.

My 10.5" Pro's speakers are truly impressive for how tiny they are, but my headphones are still way better. I went with the Air this time around.

If your decision hinges on this, I'd wait to hear them in the wild.

Pro 10.5 has very good speakers
Not that much worse than newer Pro 11”
