Lightning to 30-pin Adapter and iPod Touch 5g

Can anyone give me some insight? I bought an Apple Lightning to 30-pin adapter so I could play my new IPT 5g on my iHome. It hooks up fine, and the iPod makes a sound and then shows that it is connected, but that's as far as it goes. The music plays through the iPod, not the iHome. Any suggestions? Maybe this only work for certain iHome devices? :confused::confused:

Well, who knows??? I tried it again this a.m., and it works perfectly!!!!!!!! :eek:
