Both my wife and I woke up to no cellular signal on our 14 pros running 16.7.2 with att. Anybody else having this issue? Have a 2nd gen SE on the same version working normally and a 13 on the latest iOS working too. So something weird must have happened overnight with the 14 pros on 16.7.2.

It is a "nation wide" outage.
Carriers often push new carrier configuration files to phones. Try removing the sim, rebooting, then reinserting the sim. If you have an eSIM, there should be a way to toggle it off. Also, you can call your carrier to have them manually push the carrier file to your phone.

AT&T’s widespread outage that left thousands without service for hours Thursday was likely caused by a process error — not a cyberattack, the carrier said.
I noticed it was down at 5am, my car also had no service (uses AT&T) until almost 6am, but my phone didn't show service. Service was restored to my phone around 0730 or so (this is all east cost time).

Yeah when I first noticed it I didn’t do a google search because others on att in my home were still working which made me think it was our phones specifically.
So it must be a server or data problem somewhere on their end not letting many accounts talk to their network. How annoying that my sons phones are working on our family plan but not my wife’s phone or mine! 🤷🏻♂️

Trust us: it is a widespread outage. But if you are on WiFi you can still make calls and text.
No one should make any changes on the settings to their phones to try to “fix” this.
Coworkers in the CT office are currently seeing “SOS” instead of 5G on their phones.
It won't, but it's the first rule of being a 1st line support monkey, gotta read from the script no matter how not related to the problem it is!
Must affect certain towers or something cus I’ve talked to people from watertown, naugatuck, Wolcott, Hamden and wallingford with no issues at least.
Has anyone had success turning 5G off? My 14 still doesn't have service, but my car does. My car doesn't support 5G though.
