No click sound on button press

I used to be able to listen to "click button sounds" when I would type the iphone's pass codes. Now I don't know what has happened and there's complete silence! Can I revert to those wonderful clicks?

This is from iOS 10.3.2, but there should be a similar setting in iOS 9...
Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Keyboard Clicks > ON

Yes I did try restarting. iOS 9 . iPhone6s plus
