Once somebody on your list adds you to their list and goes online, the lock will be activated the next time you go online yourself.

By the way, I also had the split hinge problem. Left hinge, right? It seems pretty widespread. Fortunatly, it doesn't look like it will get worst.

Yes! It was the left hinge –*the plastic was split and there was a 2mm gap between the pieces.

Thanks for the link –*I was actually reading about the problem, which made me look at mine, couldn't beleive I hadn't noticed.

I took it back as nintendo has a 1 year gurantee and the shop let me exchange for a new one. Got a black one to replace the white, but don't like it as much... Still lovely though!

Ouch. Sound like yours had a real defect. Glad you could exchange it. On mine it looks more like a hairline fracture. Must be a weakness is all DS Lite. It fractured in the exact same place as the pic in the link above and in the exact same angle.

Mine too, but actually seperated aswell... I'm very relieved I could take it back, thanks!

Hopefully it was just a batch of them that have the problem
