Patched I386 dir

Do I need the replace the entire I386 dir with the patched I386 dir? Or do I need to add the patched I386 files to the I386 dir?

Reason I ask. The I386 dir is 500+ mb and the patched dir is only 1.2mb
If I replace the entire older I will miss a lot of files so I dont know whats the right way to do it

Just add the files from the patched dir to the i386 dir, and let the patched files overwrite.
