I had an odd glitch using Private Browsing in Safari: Typing anything into the Address Bar returned the message “No Results.” Type ‘www.google.com’ and it says, “No Results.”
The problem: When you switch to “Private Browsing” with no browser tabs open, the Address Bar is instead a “Search” bar, which will search though your open tabs, not the web. Since you have no tabs open, it cannot find anything, and typing a URL will not load a page, because you don’t have a browser window open. All you need to do, of course, is click the + icon to load a new tab and then the Address bar works normally and you can load whatever nefarious content you wish.
