Question about updating to latest firware or not?

So I have an :apple: iPod touch 4g version 4.2.1, it is jailbroken with greenp0ison.

I was wondering If I could update it to the latest version(4.3.3?) without losing my jailbreak/losing my apps.

What will happen if I do update it and what does the update include? (ex., bugs fixed, etc. )
