Snow Leopard wants to check for software updates
Just started, every time I start up. Have not done anything new (i.e. installes, etc.) - did repair permissions. Tried deleting plist files softwareupdate and systempreferences.
Check for updates (weekly/monthly/etc) is Un-Checked in System Preferences.
This article says to select the specific update and hit the IGNORE button. However I have NO ignore button, only a NOT NOW or INSTALL.
Also read I could add APP Store the the Firewall Preferences and select BLOCK - but I do not seem to have an app called AppStore.
Comments appreciated.
