Hi,
Had to reset Network Settings and a couple of others due to what turned into a non-trivial carrier change. (iOS 17.4.1)
Checking through things, noticed iMessage wasn't working. Went to Settings->Messages->Send & Receive, and the phone number was unchecked. Checked it and works now - but the almost-never-used iCloud/email account is also checked (in receive and reply - but not in start new conversations from).

Everything was OK before, so if that's default should be OK. But is it the default? Wondering if it perhaps reverted to e-mail address while the iPhone was without a phone number.

Thanks.

Default is whatever you set as default. But yeah, if your phone number weren't working that would switch the default to your email.
