Saw this and thought it must be an iPadOS 17 bug.

Is it happening to anyone else?

I do have a wifi 6e router but this iPad model doesn’t support WiFi 6e.

I tried connecting the iPad to the 6ghz band but it just switched to cellular because it obviously doesn’t work.

Maybe it’s a case of “bootcamp showing up on M-series Macs even though they don’t support it”.

Any thoughts?

It could just be a backwards compatibility mode that tries to mimic 6E speeds on devices that don’t natively support it.
