Will the external Touch ID feature work on MacBook M1 Pro?

Hi, I am using my 14" MacBook M1 Pro with external monitors in clamshell mode. I have the old type Apple wireless keyboard. I am looking to get the new magic keyboard with touch ID as I don't want to be constantly entering passwords. So, I am wondering if an external touch ID will work alongside the internal built in one?

yes, works with any Apple Silicon Macs.

Yes it does. I use an apple keyboard and mouse and the Touch ID works perfectly.
