My god, its so hard to find decent retina 2880 x 1800 wallpapers :eek:

There is a set of about 30 wallpapers from Mountain Lion DP4 floating around the Apple blogs. They're actually 3200x2000.

You can use an advanced image search. There is a place to specify the dimensions in pixels of an image on the left sidebar.

Retina-ready wallpapers? (merged)

Hey guys, I FINALLY got my rMBP today and I was wondering if anyone knows of any sites that offer free downloads of retina quality wallpapers.

OK, now where can we find real Retina wallpapers? Most of those look to be lower resolution upscaled photos.

I disagree. Maybe we have differing standards but I do have a handful of wallpapers that actually do the new display justice. When I get home later I'll put some links up.

Edit:
I took another look and realized Safari upsizes the image which is why it looks a bit blurry at "full scale" in Safari. So, the images on Interfacelift look great when set as desktop.

The wallpapers everyone else posted look amazing as it is, so the ones you're talking about must be incredible haha...I hope.

Here are 6 wallpapers. Be sure to download full resolution. I don't know who made these...sorry for not giving credit. I did do some editing to fit the 2880x1800 resolution. Anyway, the photos at Interfacelift were actually better than I thought. I had missed that Safari upscales images.

Doesn't it also depend upon which resolution you're usually working in? I use some photos I've taken as background images and you have to save a 3840x2400 image if you want it to look perfect at 1920x1200.

Will Retina wallpapers still look good on non-Ratina Macs ? aka Macbook Pro (mid 2012) 2.3 Gig ?
