AT&T gives great trade in values but I don't want to be locked to them and this phone for 36 months. I always give my son my old phone and trade in his. So this time around, I'm giving him my 14 PM and I'm trading in the 13 PM. Apple is giving me $580 for my 128gb 13 PM, not great, but not bad either.

Check decluttr to see how much they will pay for your phone. Enter the code 9TO5MAC23 for an additional 10%. The offer commitment is good for 28 days which should be enough to receive your new phone and mail them your trade-in. If you wait to apply until iPhone 15 ships, your offer will drop dramatically

Also don’t forget you’re getting a tax break on the trade in as well.
I had not considered the tax break. Although it’s not a lot, it needs to be factored into a resale elsewhere.

Does anyone remember the trade-in value for an iPhone 13 Pro Max with the highest storage level last year
When you were buying an iPhone 14 of any flavor?

Decluttr is $800 with code. I've never used them before but never heard anything bad. Much better than Apple's $650. They direct deposit into your account the day after receiving phone.

Yeah I was pretty shocked with only 712€ for my 14 PM. Will sell it - if I even sell it - to a third party reseller where I already sold some stuff to in the past. They gave around 900€ which is a huge difference.

This is still a good deal but for my iphone13 pro, the 9 to 5 mac code only gave an additional 5%. It likely is 10% for 14s - but just wanted to put that out there. That said, the deal is still better than Apple's if you don't want to be tied to carrier bill credits for 36 months.

So after eBay fees, PayPal fees and shipping, how much do you net?
I think it was around $780 but I should have sold it earlier because I lost so much. I wish the iPhone upgrade program was cheaper for the pro model $50 for 12 months is basically $600 plus tax $677 I rather buy it and sell it but most likely I won't be going back to the pro model since I don't really see a difference.

They offered $480
For my 13 pro…. To me that’s great.

I was on the upgrade yearly with Apple then I just got the deal from t-mobile 2 years ago and stopped.

Pretty much had a phone for 2 years and can upgrade for half price. So saved $500 by getting out of the Apple plan and a year of paying for 14 pro. That $500 went to upgrading my 2017 MacBook Air to a m2 2022 MacBook Air.

So apple still took my money

Good idea, but looks like a max credit of $30, which makes it similar to Apple’s trade in values of 14 Pro or Pro Max.

Guess best way to maximize trade in value is sell on Swappa? Just a pain to do that.

Appreciate this - getting an extra $70 over Apple's offer thanks to your post. :)

Trading in your iPhone at Apple is for people who don't really care about money. I sold my 14 Pro on eBay for $900.
Yes you are correct all the people on earth who trade in their phone to Apple dont care about money. Good one.

In the UK Apple Store Trade-in is offering more for iPhone 13 Pro 256GB than CEX which I was surprised about.
