Hmmm... it is a very large
specialist application that has previously been ported to about 50 other platforms.
It started life on on Gould SELs and DEC PDP-11s - I got involved with it about 20 years ago. I've been involved in putting it onto some weird and wonderful platforms, ranging from Alliant supercomputers to DOS based PCs. I did port it to System 7 on a pile of Quadras a few years back. That was ...
interesting. Not the hardest platform (that is a toss-up between the DG Eclipse and the Sperry Univac) but certainly challenging...
As far as I can make out, OSX looks a lot like Unix/XWindows, so I think this could actually turn out to be an easy job!
