I had the same damage twice, as shown by the OP in the original posting. Both times a Maccentric 3rd party repairer was able to bend it back in place.

So, it's possible to do, but finding someone to do it will be the challenge.


Caveat: mine was (still is) a 2009 MBP with a matte display.

On a white screen, it looks like nothing happened, but on a dark screen, you can see a yellowish glow.
