I had a Iphone 5SE form 2016 until 2020 and by the time i finally got rid of that phone it used to get so hot to hold that i literally could not hold it in my bare hands.
now 2 years later my hands still burn. Does anyone else have a similar experience?????

Try to optimize it by reducing visual effects and turning off background sync and so on.
Faced on some older devices but all of that was because they were working on their limits

Probably more from microwave radiation exposure than from thermal heat. Just my two cents.

I've never had it happen personally and this is the first thread I've seen about it since I've joined this forum.. What have the doctors told you about it? I assume you've been to many different doctors and specialists?
Well i've been to a few doctors and they all look at me like im crazy because nobodys ever heard of this, my regular doctors told me flat out that what im saying cannot be true🤷‍♂️

iPhone 5SE?

*smh*
yeah
This thread has me thinking this is a troll thread.
Just tryna get some answers to why my hands are now messed up and trying to find if theres anyone else who's had the same thing happen to them. Its been a couple of years now and its been life changing in terms of what i can do with my hands and using electrical items as everything burns now.

Between the user name and the less than credible claim, I'm assuming this is a feeble attempt at trolling.
dont want to put my real name up for legal reasons, all im trying to do is connect with anyone in the world who has had something similar happen to them. not trying to ruffle anyones feathers so if its not relevant to you, and you cant or dont want to offer some assistance then just ignore... simple. Thanks👍

So your iPhone was hot from 2016 to 2020? And you forced yourself to use it, despite the fact it was so hot, that your hands still burn today?
No..... got the phone in 2016 and it was fine, always had it in a thick case from day 1 around 2019 i started to notice it would run warn when it needed an update, but it wasnt a concern. the last 6 months i had the phone i used it without the case and thats when the damage happend until i stopped using it around april 2020 because it was burnng my hands.
i switched and got a new phone because i thought it was because the phone was only. but now every phone burns my hands and its clear that that phone damaged my hands. but nobodys ever heard of this before so im just trying to reach out.... I cant be the only person out of 7billion whos had this happen can i be?

This seems like a strange attempt to blame Apple for what sounds like an unrelated medical issue.

Like I was pretty sedentary during quarantine... damn iPhone 13 must've made me fat. I noticed it was making me fat but I kept using it. Now every phone makes me fat.

Contact your doctor then for another condition. No device in Apple's lineup will get as hot as you describe as it will self-shutdown as a protection mechanism.

In its case.

This. iPhones will shut off when they get hot. I think the OP’s medical issue (if it exists at all - the whole narrative seems fishy) is unrelated to the “5SE” - whatever that is.

There you go. There was NO iPhone 5SE. I have an original iPhone SE.

Funny you mention this, I have an SE (Second Gen) that sometimes gets too hot to hold when I'm charging it. Yesterday I was listening to audio and web surfing on the phone while it was charging, and the phone was most definitely abnormally hot. And my phone does not even have a case on it. I closed 1-2 apps and stopped using it, then unplugged it for awhile. So you're not alone in experiencing iPhones getting painfully hot. I have never had to keep using the phone when it was too hot, so I can't say it's caused me harm. It probably would shut off before then.

What you describe reminds me of when I had compressed a disk in my neck so that the nerves were inflamed in that area. After many weeks of physical therapy, my full range of motion was restored, but the pain lingered. It was still unbearable when driving, etc. The orthopedist gave me cortisol, which instantly calmed the inflamed nerves and allowed them to heal.

I suspect your hand's nerve endings have become hyper-sensitized in a similar way and need to be calmed so that they can heal. If you can focus on preventing any more inflammation for a time - which might mean going hands-free with your phone - maybe your nerves will calm.
